Requested money and received money tell different stories. Separate pending refunds from confirmed recovery to keep your purchase overview useful.
Use the actual status
A requested or approved refund is still pending until you receive it. In Valukee, only a refund marked received contributes to recovered money. Likewise, a resale contributes when marked sold. Keep the reference and supporting evidence so another household member can understand how the amount was recorded.
Calculate ownership cost consistently
The overview uses purchase amounts + repair costs − received refunds − sold resale amounts. For a €100 purchase, a €20 repair, a €40 received refund and a €30 resale, the net cost is €50. This is a bookkeeping example, not a prediction of resale value or a promise of compensation.
Avoid counting the same recovery twice
Use one record for each actual recovery and keep its purchase reference consistent. If an amount changes, edit the original entry rather than adding the full amount a second time. Review pending cases periodically and close rejected or resolved cases. Export your records when you need to reconcile them with receipts or account transactions.
